Ask Aunty Bruce - Money or Love?
Dear Aunty Bruce: I'm a gay guy of thirty-two and my boyfriend is twenty-five. I don't know whether he loves me or just wants me for my money. We've been together eleven months and I've been in seventh heaven. He's terrific-looking with a great body and always gets stared at whenever we go out. Sometimes I can't believe that he's with me.
I pay for everything. I own my home and earn a good wage. He's on benefits and hasn't worked for a year. He owes me money and thousands on credit cards. I love him but its beginning to worry me - he just won't sort his life out.
Aunty Bruce Answers: You are besotted with a pretty face. Whatever he may feel for you, he's definitely taking advantage and will carry on as long as you let him. Put your foot down. Tell him he may be cute but he's still got to pull his weight. If he doesn't respond - dump the guy, he's not worth it.
